Creative Problem Solving

Utah State Tournament

Every team that has followed the appropriate membership guidelines is eligible to participate in the Utah State Tournament. The tournament consists of two competitions for each team: Long-Term and Spontaneous. In addition, the day is filled with a Creativity Festival (great for siblings too), sales, food, and a Closing Ceremony. All teams should plan on the event being an entire day. Its best to make sure parents have the date on their calendar as soon as the team starts practicing, as it can put the team in a bind if someone can't make it to tournament.

It takes almost 100 judges and tournament assistants to have a successful tournament. If you are interested in helping out for the tournament, check out our volunteer page.

Save The Date!

The State tournament is Saturday, March 17th at Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, Utah.

World Finals

The top two teams in every problem and every division are invited to participate in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, joining over 800 teams from over 15 different countries. Teams that might be interested are advised to start fund-raising early as the deadline is only a few weeks after the State Tournament.

World Finals takes place May 23rd-26th at Iowa State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
